David Byrne Presents: Heavy Rotation

A playlist of songs that have been in heavy rotation at my house… I play them while I chop onions and ginger, or biking up or down the west side… Most of these are recent, but there are a few older tracks sprinkled in. A couple of tracks by bandmates, and a couple by artists I have recently collaborated with (but the results are not out yet).
Lately, it’s been tough for contemporary musicians to make a living... With touring only recently starting up again, and the dribble of income from streaming (unless you’re a name w/ a catalogue)...
The artists on this playlist are innovative and talented, and I can only hope that there is a way for them to continue their work and make a living doing it.
